Blogs Are Made For Realtors
Okay, blogs are made for everyone but some businesses really benefit from the inherant power of this publising tool and I plan to let you know about many of those.
Here's a snip of post by Dana VanDen Huevel about why Realtors needs blogs.
- Current and timely. Your most recent listings at the top
- People can get to know you. To me, all realtors are
interchangable UNTIL YOU MEET THEM
- Categories - this is a built in way to classify your houses by
the areas
- RSS - subscibe to RSS
feeds of all of the agents selling homes in my area
- Podcasting - realtors could leave a quick voice narrative
about the home.
- Search - especially if you were to tie your site in with some
Google AdWords
- Easy - take your photos, plug em in, post, done.
- Photo galleries made easy through blog plugins

You forgot the best reason of all for realtors to blog: they'll reach more women. Studies show that women are the prime decision makers in buying a home. What's that saying--If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! Women delight in searching for products online-- looking for a new home online-- and discovering a blog that has relevant information, as well as a photo album, and A PERSONAL voice, is a sure bet to get that woman to call. Great stuff, John.

I noticed that the link for "Realtors need blogs" is broken. It leads to a 500 error page. Since the site seems to be having some issues, you may want to link to: http://www.danavan.net/weblog/index.shtml
