Another free ping option
I've mentioned pinging on this blog in the past and urged you to do it whenever you create a new post.
I use a free service called Pingomatic but another option came to light this week. Fred's Ping Service, offer the same basic service as Pingomatic. You might want to check it out as well.

I note the comment above from the PodCastEmpire group that there is a great ping service at pingoat.
I also use that pingoat service and its good, however, the guys at http://www.PodCastEmpire.com have since implemented their own ping service and it's the ping service of choice for me.

I am truly greatful to everyone that has put information in here. I am new to this sort of thing and did not even know that i should be "pinging"
Anyway, I saw the link above and ran over to take a look at it. The group mentioned above http://www.pingtheempire.com has a free script that you can copy and paste into your own site.
It allows one to add real value to your website as it allows your clients to run a ping service direct from your site.
Kewl stuff, everyone, keep up the good work.
