Google's RSS Reader Can Only Mean One Thing
Google added an RSS reader to their growing list of blog related tools and this could be good news for your blog.
No, I don't really think that the world needs another RSS reader (unless you are really into GMail and this syncs right into that)
What it may mean, however, is that you now have a way to get your feed indexed by Google and into their Blog Search tool. Getting you feed indexed by Google isn't really that hard, but if you subscribe to your RSS feed via the new Google Reader, I assume they have to crawl your feed in order to deliver the results to you, their loyal client.
This appears to work very much like adding your feed to a MyYahoo page.

Google Adds Blog Search
No surprise here - only wondering what took them so long.
The interface is typically Google and the results are a bit odd but hey, it's Google.

Bloglines Is An Essential Link In The Blog Chain
Blogrolls are the blogging world's term for a list of other blogs that your blog links to. This is of course a form of recommendation and a great linking strategy to help provide more relevant traffic and content for your blog.
I heartily recommend that you check out a site called Bloglines. Bloglines is many things - blog directory, blog service, clipping service, RSS reader, news aggregator and "blogroll manager."
Bloglines allows you to subscribe to almost any blog on the planet so that you can easily keep up with all of your favorite blogs in one place, but then it also allow you to display and manage any portion of this list as a blogroll on your blog - all with a copy and paste of one line of code.
I've prepared a very simple screencast to show you "How To Create A Blogroll With Bloglines." (A screencast by the way is a video tutorial cast from a blog!)

MSN adds RSS Feeds to MyMSN
MSN users can now add RSS feeds to their MyMSN web pages much like MyYahoo. The main difference is that MSN gets their feeds from Moreover one of the most extensive and popular news syndicators around.

Technorati Is One You Need To Know About
Blog search engines are a special breed of cat and it's a good idea to become familiar with more. One of my favorites is called Technorati. This search engine is a source of some very important info. Not only do they list your blog, they also keep track of who is linking back to your blog and making comments about your posts. This information can be very helpful. From the Technorati site:
A few years ago, Web search was revolutionized by a simple but profound idea — that the relevance of a site can be determined by the number of other sites that link to it, and thus consider it 'important.' In the world of blogs, hyperlinks are even more significant, since bloggers frequently link to and comment on other blogs, which creates the sense of timeliness and connectedness one would have in a conversation
Go register for a free account and start finding out who is linking to whom. Also, visit the information on technorati tags. I'll post more on that soon.
