Take Control of Podcast Files a social bookmarketing service now owned by Yahoo has a great little application for playing mp3 files. Add a bookmark from called a Playtagger and you can automatically play any mp3 file on a site you are visiting.

Most podcast sites have players, but many do not. This way you can sample any file without downloading it. This is a great tool to embed on your own podcast site too as it instantly craetes a player for your visitors.

I have it installed on my Duct Tape Marketing Podcast

Don't know much about Great resouce here

It's, it's, it's

Despite the really bad reference to a Cole Porter Song in this pos title, I would like to share a couple of pretty high level blogging resources with you. likely started as one of those tools that a programmer created because they wanted to do something in their spare time that was cool. And pretty much looks like a knock off of Well, what we have now has become a key component in what is being called social bookmarking. The idea behind this concept is that you can gather, as you likely do already, bookmarks on various topics but share them with the world instead of just collecting them on your browser. Again, on the surface, that's nice, but, why would I do that.

Here is one very powerful use for this tool. I surf the net looking for great content on the subject of - Uses for Blogs. (Now, this is something I write about and know my readers want to know more about) I bookmark some great sites and I bookmark every post I ever wrote on the subject. This collection of bookmarks, a veritable goldmine of info on a specific subject, is now an RSS feed and can become a part of hundreds of other blogger's social bookmark system, sending me some new traffic and subscribers. Check Out Blog Uses

These sites have a very geek (and I mean that as a term of endearment) developed look to them but you should try to muddle through and find more uses for this tool. It does a lot more than I have explained here. From Delicious site:

ยป is a social bookmarks manager. It allows you to easily add sites you like to your personal collection of links, to categorize those sites with keywords, and to share your collection not only between your own browsers and machines, but also with others

Technorati Tag: You're It

Technorati offer some very powerful tools the gain exposure for your blog. One of those tools is something called tags. Think of tags as a way to categorize your posts. Then, anyone visiting Technorati can perform a search that will turn up all of the posts for a certain category

Search on the tag Blog Advertising and you will find a post that I created and tagged for that term.
Visit Technorati and perform any tag search by putting - tag:yoursearchterm and you are on your way to finding a rich world of related blog posts. Do you see how this might help you gain additional exposure for your posts?

So how do you get tagging?

You must first sign-up and claim your blog at technorati. Then if you use a blog software that uses a category system, like Movable Type, WordPress, TypePad, Blogware, Radio you are all set. Just make sure that you create lots of keyword rich categories and post to those categories each time.

If you use another blogging software you can still tag by manually adding a little HTML to your post.
a href="[tagname]" rel="tag">[tagname] with tagname being your category you want to use.

HTML shy? Here a neat little tool that will create your HTML for you. All you have to do is cut and paste it into your post.

Like this whole tagging idea. Here are three more sites you should start to learn about. I will write about each in detail soon.  Think of using these sites to put the tagging idea into turbo.
